At VisionSpace, we design, build, and integrate enterprise-grade solutions for the Space and Defense sectors. As a consulting, technology, and engineering partner, we bring together deep expertise across Aerospace, Cybersecurity, Autonomous Systems, and Machine Learning to deliver smart, resilient, and mission-critical solutions.
We help our customers shape the future of satellite operations by bringing automation, intelligence, and autonomy into complex systems.
We are looking for a cybersecurity professional with a true offensive security mindset, someone who is curious, technically sharp, mentally agile, and driven to understand how systems break so they can be made stronger.
This is not a role for someone who simply follows checklists. We want a creative problem-solver who adapts quickly, and enjoys digging deep into systems, protocols, and code to uncover the unexpected.
You may come from an academic or industry path:
PhD in a related field, or
5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in offensive security, vulnerability research, exploit development, or penetration testing.
If you thrive in technically demanding environments and want to apply your expertise to high-impact challenges in Space and Defense, we would love to hear from you.
As part of our cybersecurity team, you will:
Lead or contribute to security research, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities
Identify, analyze, and validate vulnerabilities in complex systems and applications
Support or drive exploit development for discovered weaknesses
Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and customer-facing reports
Contribute to the delivery of cybersecurity projects and services across a variety of domains
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve the security posture of advanced systems
We are seeking someone who combines strong technical depth with adaptability and curiosity.
PhD in a relevant field or 5+ years of relevant professional experience - Mandatory!
Solid hands-on experience in offensive security, security research, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing
Strong programming skills in Python and C
Experience working with networking protocols
A hacker mindset: creative, persistent, curious, and able to think beyond conventional approaches
High degree of mental flexibility and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving technical environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Eligibility for NATO Security Clearance
OSCP and/or other recognized industry certifications
Experience in CTFs, Hack The Box, TryHackMe, or similar hands-on offensive security environments
Background in exploit development or vulnerability research
Knowledge of different software frameworks
Strong understanding of programming concepts and paradigms
Experience with Space Systems
Knowledge of CCSDS standards
This is an opportunity to work where cybersecurity meets space technology, on meaningful, technically challenging projects that push the boundaries of automation, resilience, and autonomous operations.
At VisionSpace, you will find:
The opportunity to work on real-world, high-impact projects
A technically strong and collaborative environment
Exposure to cutting-edge challenges in Space and Defense
The chance to shape and strengthen the security of advanced systems
A team that values expertise, initiative, and innovation
If you are an experienced offensive security professional with the technical depth, curiosity, and adaptability to tackle complex challenges, we invite you to join our team in Figueira da Foz.
